Ideally I would be able to go out for a few hours to take photos and not worry about the phone battery life. Your power saving post you linked to is interesting but probably wouldn't work for my purposes as the camera is likely to be moving around all the time between taking photos.

My plan is to use a timer/relay circuit connected to the camera's hot shoe flash connector to effectively press the media button whenever I take a photo, letting the phone application know to record the data at that moment.

Do you think this is possible? Do you think the delay between activating the media button and logging the compass data would be more than a second?

I'm new to this and trying to get an idea if it's all possible so your blog and advice is really appreciated!divdavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16752247965122333370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214401912480503366.post-16945316233963382452011-10-29T21:26:15.340+02:002011-10-29T21:26:15.340+02:00divdav, look at this postdivdav, look at this postGabor Pallerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14307475522972458932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214401912480503366.post-4382983514307118172011-10-29T20:33:22.462+02:002011-10-29T20:33:22.462+02:00Hi, thanks for the article and app.
